Erika Sheffer’s family drama Russian Transport is extending at off-Broadway’s Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row for an additonal two weeks. The New Group production, helmed by artistic director Scott Elliott, will now run through March 24.
Set in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, Russian Transport is the story of a Russian immigrant couple raising their two Americanized teens. When a fascinating and mysterious uncle comes to visit from the old country, the two teenagers discover dark secrets about their family. The adolescents must come to terms with the knowledge they have learned without the help of their parents.
